New sessions at the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities will begin on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 and Thursday, October 21st, 2010. Classes begin at 6:30 p.m.
Interlake School Division is offering Tai Chi to Promote staff wellness and also through its Continuing Education Division to the general public. Tai Chi Shi Nan has been selected to provide instruction and support. Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday nights during the school year.
South Interlake Fifty-Five Plus, Inc. is offering tai Chi Through its Healthy Lifestyle Programs. Tai Chi Shi Nan will provide Tai Chi instruction and support. Starting day and time are announced in its newsletter.
Summer time practices will take place in May and June, locations and dates to be determined; contact Tat for specifics.
International Tai Chi Chuan Symposium will be held in Nashville Tennessee, from July 5 to July 10. Vanderbilt University will host this historic event. World’s foremost authorities including grandmasters, medical doctors and researchers will present and lecture on findings related to efficacy of Tai Chi Chuan on quality of life and physical functions. Tat will report on this event.
World Tai Chi and Qigong Day (WTCQD) will take place on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a. m. to 11 a. m. Tai Chi Shi Nan will commemorate this event with a gathering on the Manitoba Legislative Ground. Participants will meet at the back garden, facing the Assiniboine River. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend this free and open event. Come and join hundreds of millions of people to take part in this global healing event.
WTCQD celebration continues as Tai Chi Shi Nan offers free and open Tai Chi workshops to students and the public. These workshops are to be held on Saturdays, June 13, 20 and 27, from 7 p. m. to 8 p. m. at the Lyrics Theatre, Assiniboine Park. Everyone in welcome and invited.
Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre is offering Tai Chi to promote staff wellness. Tai Chi Shi Nan has been selected to provide instruction and support. Classes are held on Tuesdays (noon) and Thursdays (late afternoon).
Starting dates for Tai Chi Sessions are tentatively scheduled as follows: week of January 18, April 12, August 23 and November 1. Please contact Tat to confirm.
