Tat’s report on the Forum:
Over two hundred people from around the world came to Thunder Bay for the 2006 Forum. In addition to the grandmasters and other delegations from China and the organizers and government representatives, there were Tai Chi practioners from Winnipeg and Calgary, from Dallas, Minnesota and Connecticut, from Mexico City and Perth, Australia. Can you just imagine, talking, doing and thinking about nothing else but Tai Chi, for four entire days. Kudos to the organizers and the volunteers for keeping every distraction away from the participants.
The Sleeping Giant of Thunder Bay blessed the Forum with sunshine, but reminded everyone of the yin yang forces in nature with a heavy rain on part of the last day of the Forum.
Scientific data were presented at the Forum verifying the interests of the medical community on Tai Chi and gave evidence confirming Tai Chi’s various health benefits. The agility and youthfulness of the grandmasters and other participants at the Forum gave further concluding testimonies that Tai Chi can improve the quality of life of people of all ages.
The 2006 Taiji Forum reaffirms one’s commitment to go beyond persistently practicing Tai Chi and to take on an active role in promoting Tai Chi to every corner of the world.
